What Symmetric Strength adds
Strength Passport
A private-by-default Strength Passport that shows your score, tier, and any available cohort percentiles in one place. You choose whether to publish it.
Labeled cohort context
When a credible cohort exists, Symmetric Strength labels the percentile, source, sample, and confidence. App cohorts leave out members who turned off community statistics; comparable OpenPowerlifting competition context is shown separately when available.
Fastest Path to your next tier
The app tells you which single lift to improve, and by how much, to reach your next strength tier with the least added weight.
A coach that shows its reasoning
When the Coach can issue a recommendation, it includes the rationale: which weak point it targets, what evidence triggered it, and what result it expects.

Calculate my strengthCommon questions
Is StrongLifts better for beginners?
If you want a planned beginner 5x5 program with few decisions, StrongLifts serves that need. It also offers intermediate and Madcow programs. Symmetric Strength adds strength scoring and tier planning across your lifts.
Does Symmetric Strength replace a 5x5 program?
No. It measures your strength, identifies weak points, and shows the next lift that moves your tier. You can still run 5x5 if that training fits you.
What options follow beginner 5x5?
StrongLifts offers its Intermediate program and Madcow 5x5. Symmetric Strength adds a separate view of which lift is holding back your score and which improvement gives the cheapest path to the next tier.
