The strength coach that shows its reasoning
Training advice is easier to evaluate when its reasoning and follow-up are visible. When the Symmetric Strength Coach has enough supported data to issue a recommendation, it states which weak point it targets, why your data triggered it, what to do today, and when the result will be checked. It is structured guidance built from your saved lifts, not a chat window.

What we will check
Weak-pattern gap narrows after following the prescription
Sample lifter: a 30-year-old man at 180 lb. Best sets: squat 275 x 5, deadlift 345 x 5, bench press 215 x 5, overhead press 105 x 5, Pendlay row 185 x 5.
Each issued recommendation shows its reasoning
A recommendation is not just "do more rows". It names the weak point it targets, the evidence in your training history that triggered it, and the result it expects. If the reasoning does not hold for you, you can see that before you spend a training block on it.
An issued recommendation includes a concrete do-today plan
When the Coach issues a recommendation, it includes the specific work to do in your next session: the lift, the sets, and the target. If the data is insufficient, the Coach can withhold a prescription instead of inventing one.
The Decision Ledger tracks what happened next
The Decision Ledger records what happened after a recommendation without claiming that the advice caused the result. At the evidence check, it can report that the decision was not followed, evidence was insufficient, no measurable change appeared, or the plan needs adjustment. A positive change remains insufficient evidence until its threshold is externally validated.
Built on your scored data
The Coach starts from your saved lifts, score, weak-point analysis, and fastest path to the next tier. Any credible cohort percentile is labeled context, not a prerequisite. Recommendations aim at the lift that moves your score most for the least added weight.
Your data stays yours
Coach recommendations are built from your own logged training data and stay private to your account. Nothing about your training is shared unless you choose to publish it on your Passport.
The public calculator can show your weak points and the single lift that moves your tier next without an account. Save training history when you want private Coach recommendations and evidence checks.

Is this a chatbot?
No. There is no free-text chat. The coach produces structured decisions from your training data: a recommendation, its reasoning, a do-today plan, and an outcome check.
What happens at the evidence check?
The ledger records the observed state: not followed, insufficient evidence, no measurable change, or needs adjustment. It does not credit the recommendation for a positive change while the improvement threshold remains unvalidated.
Do I need to log workouts for the coach to work?
The public calculator can start from lifts you enter without an account. The private Coach requires saved account data for recommendations and evidence checks; more logged history makes both sharper.
