A Strong alternative that keeps your history
Strong is built as a focused workout logbook. If you want reliable set logging, routines, timers, and progress charts, Strong serves that job well. Symmetric Strength answers a different question: how strong are you, compared with whom, and what should you do next?

What Symmetric Strength adds
Strength Passport
A private-by-default Strength Passport that shows your score, tier, and any available cohort percentiles in one place. You choose whether to publish it.
Labeled cohort context
When a credible cohort exists, Symmetric Strength labels the percentile, source, sample, and confidence. App cohorts leave out members who turned off community statistics; comparable OpenPowerlifting competition context is shown separately when available.
Fastest Path to your next tier
The app tells you which single lift to improve, and by how much, to reach your next strength tier with the least added weight.
A coach that shows its reasoning
When the Coach can issue a recommendation, it includes the rationale: which weak point it targets, what evidence triggered it, and what result it expects.
Bring your Strong history with you
You do not have to start over. Export your Strong history as CSV and bring it into Symmetric Strength. Your training data is parsed in your browser during preview, and your Strength Passport is built from the lifts you already logged.
Not sure yet? Enter your lifts in the free calculator and see your score, tier, and weak points in about a minute. No account needed.
Calculate my strengthCommon questions
Do I have to stop using Strong?
No. You can keep logging in Strong and use Symmetric Strength for scoring, available cohort comparisons, and a private-by-default Passport you may choose to publish. Import a fresh CSV whenever you want to update it.
Is Symmetric Strength free?
The calculator and score are free. You can get a full strength analysis without creating an account, then create a private Passport and choose whether to publish it.
Where do the percentiles come from?
Available app-population percentiles use saved logs from members who have not turned off community statistics. Comparable competition context can come separately from verified OpenPowerlifting results. Each available number labels its cohort and sample.
